Samsung Gear Fit2
By the looks of the situation, Samsung wants to stomp the “Android wear” market. The company has already posted press renders of the unannounced Samsung Gear Fit2. Now, pictures of the manual have been surfaced on Samsung’s site itself. It’s a bit amusing as Samsung is not holding even a single bit back considering that they gave out all the so much information on their upcoming wearable.
Gear Fit has noticeable overhaul and sports better specifications under selected tabs. GPS is one of the highly sought features which going to be included in Gear Fit2. That also means it’s going to be more of a direct rival for theMicrosoft Band 2, which is one of the few fitness tracker/smartwatch hybrids to pack GPS.There’s a good chance Samsung would switch up to Tizen, simply because it’s starting to show it more love with the Gear S2 smartwatch.
The first Gear Fit launched in 2014 with its curved AMOLED touchscreen and a built-in heart rate monitor while Samsung made the odd decision to use a new RT OS (real time operating system). It also has an IP68 certification, meaning it can be submerged in a metre and a half of water for half an hour. The Gear Fit2 comes with a curved 1.84-inch AMOLED display and 4 GB of internal storage.
Physically, The device has the same feels as its predecessor but features better ergonomics to better suit the curve of the wrist. Also, inclusion of a new charging cradle is done as the original dock was the least favourite thing in the Gear Fit. The heart-rate sensor, back and home keys are all located in the same place as the original Gear Fit.
We will not exaggerate about the upcoming Gear Fit2 but it surely isn’t a complete overhaul. Samsung in its place is trying to improve in certain sections and not start from scratch on a new project. Same is what we saw with Galaxy S7 and it turned out to be good. The Samsung Gear Fit2 launch is expected in South Korea sometime next month.
