The first photos for the MSI GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING 8G have leaked and it looks glorious.
VideoCardz, who are responsible for the leak have done some comparisons, between the new GTX 1080 GAMING 8G and MSI’s older GTX 980 GAMING 4G – where the site reports that it’s a “perfect match”. They write: “(1) shows screw hole that perfectly fit into custom made PCB with GM204, (2) shows shadow from the capacitor that exists on GTX 980 PCB, and (3) show missing holes. This GP104-400 sample was without a doubt from MSI card. Of course, this is just my educated guess, but I’m more than sure about this one“.
The 1080 featuring the GP 104 is going to be running on GDDR5X memory, GDDR5X DRAM uses a 190 pin ball grid layout. The GTX 1080 has bandwidth of up to 384 GB/s ona 256-bit memory bus.
MSI is expected to unveil their new GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING 8G in 6 weeks time during Computex 2016.
