Redmi K40 specifications have been tipped several times in recent weeks and we have also seen renders and live images that give us a good idea about what to expect in terms of design. Redmi K40 Pro is expected to arrive at a later date.

The Redmi K40 will arrive with a punch-hole display with the smallest punch-hole cutout on a smartphone yet said by Redmi. The display is a FHD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a typical LCD panel.

The smartphone may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset, Qualcomm SNapdragon 870 SoC or the Snapdragon 888 chipset paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The current rumors make it hard to tell which SoC will be utilized.

Redmi K40 is expected to run on the latest Android 11-based MIUI 12.5, the company has teased that the phone will come with more than 4,000mAh battery and deliver a long-lasting battery life, we hope to see improved Fast Charging technology as well. The smartphone’s camera specs are not has been leaked anywhere so far, but the K40 Pro might feature a 108 MP sensor.

The Redmi K40 is expected to be priced at CNY 2,999 (roughly Rs. 34,000), Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing mentioned while confirming the February launch last month. Exact pricing details of the new Redmi phone will be announced at the time of launch.
