ASUS Republic of Gamers has announced the ROG Cetra Open Wireless, a pair of open-ear wireless earbuds designed to balance immersive audio with real-world situational awareness. Aimed at gaming, music, and active use, the Cetra Open Wireless combines dual-mode wireless connectivity, large dynamic drivers, and a secure open-fit design.

The open-ear approach allows users to remain aware of their surroundings while still maintaining spatial audio cues, making the Cetra Open Wireless particularly suited for long gaming sessions, commuting, and outdoor activities.

Dual-Mode Wireless With SpeedNova Support

The ROG Cetra Open Wireless supports both Bluetooth and ROG SpeedNova 2.4GHz wireless connectivity. The latter is designed to deliver ultra-low-latency audio for gaming, ensuring close synchronization between visuals and sound.

ASUS also introduces its first USB-C 2.4GHz dongle with passthrough charging, allowing devices to be charged while the earbuds remain connected—an added convenience for handheld gaming and mobile setups.

Large Drivers and On-Board Audio Modes

Audio is handled by 14.2mm diamond-like carbon (DLC)-coated diaphragm drivers, which ASUS says are tuned for crisp highs, deep bass, and a spacious soundstage. On-board audio modes include Phantom Bass, which enhances low-end perception, and Immersion Mode, designed to reduce ambient noise without fully isolating the user.

Comfort-Focused Open-Ear Design

The earbuds feature liquid silicone ear hooks for stability and long-session comfort, paired with a detachable reflective neck strap for added security during movement. Unlike touch-based designs, the Cetra Open Wireless uses physical control buttons, offering tactile input even during workouts or in wet conditions.

Additional features include IPX5 splash resistance and up to 16 hours of battery life in Bluetooth mode under standard conditions.

Availability

ASUS has not yet announced pricing or availability for the ROG Cetra Open Wireless in India. More details are expected at a later date.
