With Christmas and New Year around the corner , everyone is celebrating the festive spirit. Well this time our favourite video game developers got us the best present ever . Yes , 2018 is bringing us a few of the most anticipated and amusing games ever released.

PlayStation 4 has become everyone’s treasured platform due to the list of exclusives being delivered by Sony . So those of you who received a PS4 / PS4 Pro for Christmas , well you are in luck . From sequels that we are dying to play to many new game trailers that have caught our eyes , here is the list of the top upcoming games of 2018 for you to add on your wish lists.

Shadow of the Colossus was a major hit back in the days of  PlayStation 2, and the remastered version for PS3 was later released which helped increase its fan base. However, the PS4 version is almost a completely remade game. We encounter familiar colossi and similar gameplay , but seems like a new experience in 60 fps.

The Last of Us Part II

The Last of Us Part II won the award for the Most Anticipated Game  and it definitely is . The Last of Us was a phenomenal game and with the release of the new trailer for the sequel , players are now more excited as to what events will take place in the new game. It has been confirmed by the studio that the adventures of Ellie will continue , but the story will be even more thrilling.

Death Stranding

World famous developer Hideo Kojima , after being split from Konami,  has graced us with his own development studio known as Kojima Productions and Death Stranding will be its first title. Nothing can be made out about the gameplay from the mysterious trailers and  lack of information about when it will be released . However the fact that Hideo Kojima, a well-known and respected developer is in control of this product, could be the source of why this video game is building up so much with fans around the world.

Days Gone

Post- Apocalyptic setting is the new thing going around and we love it when Zombies are the root cause . The trailer of Days Gone speaks for itself . The open world setting gives you the freedom you need and the main character is bad- ass as ever.

God of War

God of War has always been a PS favourite and Kratos , though brutal , is a star among players. The first three games of the series was a major hit , although the fourth game was a bit of a disappointment . From the looks of this game however , we see the  gameplay has changed quite a bit and Kratos is being accompanied by his son . Lets hope this turns out as promising as it looks.

Spider- Man

Loved the trailer? Well we certainly did . That’s right, your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man  is coming to PS4 . The whole open-world setting gives the image of a fun and interactive gameplay . The video game will also give players the ability to go through the story as not only Spider-Man but as the civilian Peter Parker  as well.

Quantic Dream never disappoints us with their  decision-based storyline . Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls were both breathtaking life-like games and from the looks of the trailer Detroit: Become Human will be even more epic. Similar to Heavy Rain , we have more than more playable characters and it circles around androids , their lifestyle, their revolution – their story .

Kingdom Hearts 3

The  Kingdom Hearts franchise is well known among most people . The third installment is expected to release sometime 2018, continuing the narrative Disney story. Since the release of Kingdom Hearts 2, The Walt Disney Company had acquired Pixar Animation Studios, Marvel Entertainment, and Lucasfilm, which could result in seeing a variety of characters and worlds from these three newly acquired companies.

With the release of its demo , Monster Hunter : World  has already received quite a big fan base . The Monster Hunter franchise is consistently growing and with each new installment a number of new gamers explore the monster filled worlds Capcom has crafted. Monster Hunter: World will mark as the fifth main installment to the franchise.

The name itself creates enough hype for it to be on this list . The first game came out 15 years ago and was a big hit. Everyone who has played any of the Metro games or read the books is eagerly looking forward to this game. Metro Exodus will follow the events of Metro: Last Light. This first-person shooter takes place in 2036, a post-apocalyptic Earth which was devastated by a nuclear war that took place decades earlier.

Bioware’s Anthem brings forth a vast interactive open world with both land terrain and underwater environments. It also works around the concept of exosuits called Javelins, which are packed with numerous features and abilities, giving a mixed feeling of Mass Effect, Destiny and Crysis .

A Way Out

EA’s reveal of A Way Out deserved quite the attention with its out of the box concept of split screen co-op gameplay with no single player mode. It gives players  the Prison Break feel with it’s whole jail break scenario and the co-op feature brings forth an even more immersive experience thus securing a spot in the list of anticipated games releasing in early 2018.

Dontnod Entertainment has crafted up some popular titles so far, their debut title Remember Me, Life is Strange and now Vampyr. This game takes place during the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic in London where players take the role of a doctor Jonathan Reid. However he himself is a vampire and is drowning in self conflict.Being an action role-playing title, players can traverse parts of the world while also leveling up Jonathan in order to unlock new abilities and skills .
