Earlier this week, Microsoft and Rockstar announced that the Xbox 360 blockbuster, Red Dead Redemption will be made available on the Xbox One through backwards compatibility. Following the announcement, the sales of the concerned title witnessed astounding hike on Amazon. As of now, all of the multiplayer DLCs are available for free on the Xbox marketplace. Staying true to their words, Microsoft has added Red Dead Redemption as a backwards compatible title.

On the older console i.e the Xbox 360, the game suffered from some manifest issues such as screen tearing and low frame rate. While playing, the frame rate dropped to as low as 20 which proved to be quite a deal breaker. However, according to Digital Foundry’s recent performance analysis cum comparison of the beloved title on the Xbox One and Xbox 360, it can be concluded that the game runs miles better on the Xbox One with all of the previous issues eradicated. There are no visual improvements but the performance increment makes it all the more fun to play. The prices also seem to have tanked because of the age of the game, but the legacy of sumptuous title still remains unaltered. If you haven’t had the chance to play Red Dead Redemption yet, I’d say this is the prime time to get your own copy and commence your journey. In fact, with all the previous muddles wiped out, the game should be an even bigger delight so another playthrough wouldn’t hurt.
