The new Snapdragon 865 Plus is designed to deliver performance increment by almost 10 percent for gaming and AI applications.

There are three noticeable improvements of Snapdragon 865 Plus over the stock Snapdragon 865:

Breaking the 3Ghz or even 3.1Ghz Barrrier

According to AnandTech, in their conversation with Qualcomm’s SVP and GM of mobile business Alex Katouzian, on how they achieved this result, is primarily ” a combination of aggressive physical design of the product as well as improving manufacturing yields during the product’s life cycle”. Katouzian explained to AnandTech that they were able to achieve this on Snapdragon 865, however on trying to meet this mark would have led to a lower quantity of required product due to manufacturing variations.

The Official press release from Qualcomm somewhat confirms that the upcoming ASUS ROG Phone 3 and the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone will be the first one to enjoy the power of Snapdragon 865 Plus 5G.

We are expecting more devices to be announced soon which will be supporting the Snapdragon 865 Plus however, we still don’t know whether Samsung’s upcoming Note 20 series will appear with it or not.
