If there is one thing that you can learn from watching YouTube, it’s that there is something out there for everyone. Whatever your hobby or interest, there is almost always someone on YouTube who has a video related to it.
However, if you want to be a successful YouTuber, you need to have a few things to help you. The equipment you need doesn’t have to be top of the range, but getting decent spec will give your channel some polish.

Cameras

One of the most important parts of your YouTube creative process is the camera you use. The type and quality can vary, but you need it to perform the best for your channel. For example, if you do a lot of action videos(or vlogs), you need a camera that can withstand knocks and bumps. It might also be a good idea for it to be water proof.
Our suggestion would be the Go Pro Hero 4 along with the accessory kits. Our friends over at The Wire Realm has a great guide for beginners, do check it out.

Accessories

In addition to your camera, you also need to have a few accessories to help you get the shots you want. One good idea is a tripod; you can get small tripods that have bendable legs. These are great for gripping things to get your camera into different angles. For example, if you have a Go Pro Hero 4 you can get this accessory kit.
If you do a lot of presenting, you might also want to get a lighting box so you can get the best light possible for the shots.

Editing Software

The choice of editing software you use is a personal preference. Often it comes down to how it works and the ease of use for the editor. You don’t have to spend a lot of money on software; there are many free editing suites out there that offer good results. However, getting a paid application works out better in most cases. There are some amazing applications on the market; for example, Adobe Spark. Among other things Adobe Spark offers a YouTube thumbnail template that can take a lot of the work out for you, so you can spend time on other things in the video.

Computer/Internet

If you are going to be using a high-quality editing software with a high pixel camera, the chances are you will be creating big files that you will need to upload.
Many of the big editing suites demand a lot of resources so you need a laptop or computer that can handle this without freezing or crashing.
You should also look at upgrading your internet, as uploading large files on YouTube can take a long time if you have a slow internet connection.
It is true to say that the equipment you use for your YouTube channel is not entirely important. Some people have had big success just using their mobile phone camera. However, if you want to create a professional looking channel, you will need to invest in some good equipment that will give you the quality you need.

Either way, your channel idea is going to be the most important part of your success.
