Five Nights at Freddy’s 4: The Final Chapter will be out on 8th August, which is also the first anniversary of the original game.
Developer Scott Cawthon privately made the announcement to various YouTube channels, asking for them to reveal the news. YouTuber Razzbowski shared the email in which Cawthon revealed he is also working on an expansion for Five Nights at Freddy’s to arrive on October 31st, “to keep the Halloween date special.”

Since Five Nights at Freddy’s 4 is actually subtitled The Final Chapter, this could be the last we see of the scare fest set in Freddy’s pizza parlour.
In April it was revealed that Warner Bros. is collaborating with Cawthon to make a movie adaptation of the Five Nights at Freddy’s series about sentient animatronic animals haunting a derelict family-friendly restaurant. The film will be directed by Seth Grahame-Smith .
The Warner Bros production “taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to”, according to Cawthon.
For those of you not familiar with Five Nights at Freddy’s, it takes place in a family-friendly pizza parlour where an robotic band of animals play children’s songs by day. But by night, it all takes a sinister turn .
