Both AF120 and SP120 come in premium and well protected packing, In side the box you find some screws some brochures and a fan header extender. You also get three different colors of rings which fits around the fans giving an unique and very clean look,Colors you get are blue white and red to go with most motherboard and cabinets in market. On to actual use, I used SP120 on my radiator while keeping AF120 as case fans, And they perform as well as corsair says it does. Compared to the AF120, the SP120 has substantially larger fins with very little empty space between them. The more substantial blades seem to necessitate the presence of a bigger motor, This helps creat SP120 stronger focused air compared to AF120’s more of spreaded air flow.
While I recommend running these fans through motherboard headers or if you are using any kind of fan control make sure you don’t run these fans at 10v because they start making hissing noise on that power level. Other than that these run as quiet as marketed, I was running these fans at 7v and you could hardly hear any noise from fans sitting as close as a foot away from the PC. While these don’t come cheap AF 120 Rs. 1100/- and SP120 Rs. 1200/- I would still highly recommend these to those looking for quiet high performance fans with clean Aesthetics and customization options.
