The Zenpad 8 is the last generation of tablets that came out from Asus till now. Asus has a long lineage of making good tablets starting for the Transformers series along with two generation of Nexus tablets, the company also tried their hands with the FonePad and MemoPad lineup which had mixed reviews. However, that didn’t stop Asus from bringing out their Zenpad lineup and the ‘Zen’ branding to tablets. Bare with us while take a look at what Asus have in store for us.

Editor’s Note : Unfortunately we lost quite a bit of pictures which were taken for this review, so for this review I will be using stock pictures from the Asus website.

DESIGN AND THE DISPLAY

The 8-inch screen on the Asus ZenPad 8  Z380KL is a screen type IPS LCD Capacitive tochscreen which has a resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels density and screen density of 189 ppi pixel density. The screen has a dimension of 209 x 123 x 8.5 mm and weighs up to 350 grams. With size like that, the ZenPad 8 is quite large, making it ideal for people who wish to work on the go but it never felt to heavy in my hands.

The display is covered with gorilla glass 3 but is prone to finger prints.

Then, Z380KL also comes enhanced with oleophobic screen coating protection system that protects the screen from scratches or water splashes.

The Asus ZenPad 8 provides a good balance between performance and stable performance that is helped by the well designed and efficient ZenUI.

Overall, the games I played ran well and there was minimal heating, but there was some minimal stutter every now and then.

Battery life is decent as good, thanks to the 4000mAh battery powering this device. The Asus ZenPad 8.0 (Z380KL) ran for [ADD BATTERY LIFE].

[nextpage title=”Conclusion”]
Overall, the ASUS ZenPad 8.0 is pretty good mid-range tablet. The stylish looks are quite appealing and give it a premium feel. The only major letdown for me was the resolution, other than that this tablet is a good balance of performance and looks, making it one of our favourite devices in this range.

Silver
The Asus ZenPad 8.0 Z380KL deserves a silver star from us.
