Asus launched their new GTX 980 Ti Strix Gaming Ice graphics card. This card is water cooled and sports a  Bitspower water block, and features an RGB illuminated STRIX gaming logo.93f0df2e-1a66-459d-95ba-3c84b4c05484

This new card from Asus is almost same in the specifications department when compared to other 980Ti’s with 2816 CUDA cores, 176 TMUs and 96 ROPs. Not forgetting that users benefit from 6GB of GDDR5 memory on a 384-bit bus. As you would expect, thanks to the factory fitted liquid cooling solution, ASUS can tune up the clock speeds on offer.

Asus implemented two operation modes in this card, Gaming mode and an OC mode. Gaming mode offers core clocks set at 1190MHz base, and 1291MHz boost and OC mode offers a 1216MHz base clock speed and 1317MHz boost. Memory clocks are improved over reference and you will find that this new Strix has a memory clock of 7.2GHz. 2e67c541-773d-4e1a-81f1-9bf0211ac895

To power this card you will need 2x 8 pin-connectors. Alongside, Asus has packed a 14 Phase PWM onboard. For stability, endurance and reliability ASUS has used its Super Alloy Power II technology in building this card. Furthermore ASUS Auto Extreme production techniques should contribute to reliability and quality.

But this card ain’t about all the power under it’s hood. It has matt black finish all over with red accents and a RGB illuminated logo in front. All the lighting effects and clock speed tweaking are managed by ASUS’s Gaming Booster control panel.

With all this features packed in, don’t expect this card to go light on your wallet. This card will be priced at $899, which is quite expensive. But there are people who like to be on the critical limit of technology almost all the time.
