But the tech giant promises that the next gen MacBook Pro will be significantly “thinner and lighter”. However, what excites us even more is that it will feature a new OLED touch bar above the keyboard, says Apple analyst Ming Chi Kuo. Ming also adds that the new Macbook Pro is the “brightest spot for Apple’s 2016 rollouts”, and will be available in 13-inch and 15-inch models. They will be launched around the fourth quarter of 2016.

While the physical keyboard will be replaced by the OLED touch bar, Apple will also be using new metal injection molded hinges. In other news, along with the 13 inch and 15 inch MacBook Pros, Apple also seems to be working on a replacement of the upgraded 12-inch Retina model. The new MacBook Air will fill the space for the entry-level MacBook. The MacBook will the mid-ranger, followed by the MacBook Pro which will sit on top of the rung. and in case you’re thinking that Apple’s Touch ID is only a feature that iPhone users will continue to enjoy exclusively, the new gen MacBook Pro will also feature that, said Kuo.
